WSJ op-ed blasts Trump while Manafort/Russia scandal worsens

In the article titled “WSJ op-ed blasts Trump while Manafort/Russia scandal worsens” by John Aravosis on the political blog, AMERICAblog, the writer expresses his opinion on President Trump. Aravosis believes that President Trump never intended to actually become the president, he only wanted to get his name out there and gain money in the process. His motives changed once he realized that the possibility of him winning was getting higher. Once he became president, he would leave most of the work to Mike Pence. The writer also says that Trump is ineffective as a president due to his tendencies to act like a dictator. His lack of experience has hindered him from being an effective leader because the government workers know how to run their government better than Trump. Manafort being involved in Trumps campaigns has caused controversy to arise on the topic of his presidency, and since he was unable to respond accordingly, he damaged his reputation.

The argument made in this article is that President Trump is unfit for his job due to his inexperience, which has caused him to fall into the public turmoil. I agree with the author on his opinion of Trump's capability to lead this country. He has given me a different view of the reasons why Trump might be failing. Since the author has worked in the US Senate, he understands and is well informed about the government system and the steps it would take for Trump to be a productive leader. His intended audience would be ordinary citizens because the author wants to inform them and give reasons as to why Trump is not competent to be the president.
